Who is eligible to attend?
Redwood Elderlink has a variety of programs with the common goal of serving seniors and their families. Each program has slightly different eligibility criteria. Please contact us at 760-480-1030 and we will be able to help you find the program that best meets your needs.

Is transportation provided?
Transportation is provided as part of the Adult Day Health Care program and for a small fee for the social day care program all within certain geographical guidelines and timeframes. Wheelchair accessible vans are available.

Are meals served as part of the program?
Yes, a continental breakfast, a hot and nutritional lunch, and an afternoon snack are served. We are able to accommodate special needs diets as well.

What hours is the Center open?
The center is open from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The program activities take place between 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Homelink services are available 24 hours, 7 days per week.

What activities are available?
There are many therapeutic and social activities during the day, including armchair exercises, stretching, armchair travel, movies, trivia, music, arts & crafts, gardening, karaoke, food preparation, intergenerational programs, visiting entertainment and more.

How is the service billed?
Service is billed monthly based on services provided and attendance. The Out & About Shuttle and all Support Groups are a free community service.

Do you accept insurance?
Medi-Cal, VA benefits and Long-term Health Insurance are accepted.

What if medication is needed during the day?
Our Licensed Nurse is available to administer daytime medications.

Can attendance days be changed?
While a regular schedule is encouraged, we try to be flexible when situations arise that require a change in the participant's attendance days.

What is the staff-to-participant ratio?
There is a 1 to 5 staff-to-participant ratio.

If I'm using Homelink, can I change my caregiver?
Certainly, we want you to be comfortable with your in-home caregiver.

Is respite care available?
Yes, respite services are available through Homelink.

Is there a minimum number of hours for Homelink, and what about overnight care?
There is a 2-hour minimum when using Homelink. We also offer a 10-hour overnight service at a special rate.

Are the in-home caregivers capable of caring for someone with dementia?
All Homelink caregivers receive on-going training in dementia, as well as caring for seniors and adults with disabilities.
