Junior Volunteers Making a Difference!
Junior Volunteers bring lots of smiles, hugs, and joy to our residents.

If you are between the ages of 10 and 14 yrs. and are interested in working with seniors, Redwood Senior Homes and Services provides many wonderful opportunities for you to get involved.

Reading to residents or helping them write a letter, making decorations for an event, helping serve at parties, snack and meal time, helping with cooking and craft projects, playing games with residents, and participating in interactive plays are just some of the FUN activities for Junior Volunteers.

To become a Junior Volunteer, contact Theresa Yoder at (760) 480-1030.

Redwood Senior Homes and Services offers many Volunteer Opportunities. The Redwood Auxiliary is an organization of dedicated women and men who devote their time, energy, and talent in support of RSHS whose mission is to enhance the quality of life for aging adults.

Founded in 1979, the Redwood Auxiliary coordinates a variety of programs for RSHS and its affiliates, Redwood Terrace, Redwood Town Court and Redwood Elderlink. Auxiliary members volunteer their time to help others in programs at Redwood Elderlink, to assist in staffing the gift shop at Redwood Terrace and to nurture and enhance residential life at Redwood Terrace and Redwood Town Court.

In addition, The Redwood Auxiliary contributes annual gifts to Redwood's retirement communities and sponsors social events throughout the year for Redwood residents, families, and friends. Some of these events include an annual Christmas dinner, spring meeting, rummage sale, and two card parties.

Whether you can volunteer for a few hours a month, contribute to a fundraiser, or enjoy the company of others by attending Redwood Auxiliary events, your participation in and support of the Redwood Auxiliary is greatly appreciated.

For further information about the Redwood Auxiliary, contact Merrie Schwartz at (760) 737-5458 Ext. 233.
